Applying for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)

Steps to registering for Pandemic Unemployed Assistance (PUA), for the self-employed and independent contractors.

STEP 1:

Apply For traditional UI Benefits. Get started by visiting the website, ui.delawareworks.com

STEP 2:

Recieve a denial letter or monetary determination of zero or insufficient wages.

STEP 3:

Receive a confirmation letter in the mail qualified applicants will receive their PUA benefits instructions by mail. Letters begin mailing the week of May 11, 2020.

STEP 4:

Access the PUA system to submit your claim for assistance.
