DOL Services Information


Effective September 7, 2021 — The Delaware Department of Labor is now offering services onsite by appointment and most are also available virtually.

You’ll be able to do the following:

  • Access computers in the American Job Center (AJC) Resource Room for various services
  • One-on-one appointments onsite and virtual:
    • Employment & Training Case Managers
    • Career Counselors
    • Vocational & Rehabilitation Counselors
    • Industrial Affairs Staff

Services

Submit your request by filling out this form or call the American Job Center (AJC) for further assistance. During the appointment, you can access computers and ask staff for support in the American Job Center (AJC) Resource Room for onsite (in-person) or virtual services if you need access to a computer and connect to the Internet. 

Onsite services are requested by appointment only and are held at the AJC Resource Room.

Here are services available upon request by appointment for an in-person at any of the DOL AJC locations:

Unemployment Insurance (UI) 

  • File an Unemployment Insurance claim using the AJC Resource Room  
  • To resolve a claimant issue, you may request a one-on-one appointment with UI  

Employment & Training (DET) 

Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) 

  • Complete a Referral for DVR Services (virtual or by telephone) 
  • One-on-One Appointments with your VR Counselor (by appointment) 

Industrial Affairs (DIA) 

  • File a Complaint: Discrimination and Wage and Hour 
  • Work Permits 

There are services available to you where you can access a computer with a reliable Internet connection. Some virtual services require you to request by appointment. Here are the virtual services DOL is currently offering: 

Employment & Training (DET) 

Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) 

  • Complete a Referral for DVR Services (virtual or by telephone) 
  • One-on-One Appointments with your VR Counselor (by appointment) 

Industrial Affairs (DIA) 

  • File a Complaint: Discrimination and Wage and Hour 
  • Work Permits 
There are services offered either virtually or onsite, but you will still need to request an appointment for some of these hybrid services so that the Delaware Department of Labor can better serve your requests.

  • Register for and use JobLink, which is now a requirement to receive UI 
  • Case Management & Training Services (by appointment) 
  • Apex Program – Records Expungement (by appointment) 

Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) 

  • Complete a Referral for DVR Services (virtual or by telephone) 
  • One-on-One Appointments with your VR Counselor (by appointment) 
  • Apex Program – Records Expungement (by appointment) 

Industrial Affairs (DIA) 

  • File a Complaint: Discrimination and Wage and Hour 
  • Work Permits  

Obtain basic information like brochures about programs and services in the lobby at the front desk. The only time the DOL will accept walk-ins without an appointment is for the following DIA services: 

  • File a Compliant – Discrimination and Wage and Hour 
  • Work Permits

Yes, the DOL is offering in-person services by appointment only. Use Delaware Vocal to request an appointment.
