American Rescue Plan Act

The American Rescue Plan Act was signed into law on March 11, 2021, extending the PUA, PEUC and FPUC programs and expired on September 6, 2021.

Delawareans who continue to be unemployed may continue certifying for benefits. UI recipients who are not at their benefit year ending (BYE) date should continue receiving benefits without lapse. UI recipients who are at the end of their BYE must reapply for UI benefits. A delay in re-applying may cause an interruption or lapse in UI benefits. UI recipients who reapply after their BYE date will receive their benefits after their new application has processed.

Updates and additional details regarding the Act’s unemployment provisions will be provided at Labor.Delaware.gov, at UI.delawareworks.com, and at PUA.delawareworks.com.
