Yes, LaborFirst is the new Delaware Department of Labor platform using the Salesforce application

You will not have LaborFirst specific credentials. You will use your State of Delaware sign in credentials to access LaborFirst.

After creating your state sign-in credentials and signing into My Delaware, a tile will appear on your My Delaware dashboard

Clear your browser cache if you encounter slowness or loading issues while in LaborFirst. If problems persist, contact the Help Desk at 302.761.8375

It is recommended that you use the Chrome browser on a desktop or laptop to access LaborFirst

To print your screen while in LaborFirst, press CTRL+P. This will print the screen you are currently on in your browser.

To print documents included within notes and attachments, download the document as a PDF and then print it

Yes. Once an employer completes their initial business registration, an authorized TPA can register the employer for Paid Leave

The State of Delaware takes seriously our role in protecting and securing the public’s information. To that end, the State has established policies and procedures for creating and validating your sign-in credentials

As of January 1, 2026, we are no longer using Security Questions as a verification method. If you were using a Security Question as your authentication process, you will need to choose another way to verify your identity. Options include: Okta Verify, Google Authenticator, or via a phone call or text.

No, the employer is required to complete their initial business registration in LaborFirst

Yes. Once an employer completes their initial business registration, an authorized TPA can register the employer for Paid Leave

Yes. Once an employer has completed its initial business registration, an authorized TPA can apply for a private or self-insured plan during Paid Leave registration on behalf of your business

After you log into LaborFirst, click File Paid Family Medical Leave Claim and the system will guide you though the process. If you need additional help, review the guides found on the LaborFirst Claimant Hub.

Mobile browsers are not supported at this time, so if you are trying to file via a phone or other mobile device, you might not be able to finish filing your claim.  

Please submit your claim from a desktop or laptop computer. If you do not have access to a desktop or a laptop, you can visit any of our office locations: https://labor.delaware.gov/office-locations/ 

Computers can also be used free of charge at your local library: https://lib.de.us/list-of-libraries/ 

You can choose to receive benefits via a debit card (which we will mail to you), or direct deposit to your bank account.

Delaware Paid Leave offers paid leave to employees who have been employed for at least 12 months and have worked at least 1,250 hours in the most recent 12 months with a single employer. If leave is approved, an employee will get up to 80% of their wages (up to $900 per week).

• Medical Leave (your own serious health condition)
• Family Caregiver Leave (care for parent, spouse, or child)
• Parental Leave (bonding with newborn, adopted, or foster child)
• Qualified Exigency Leave (military deployment-related needs)

You can request a claim review by logging into LaborFirst, reviewing your clam details, and clicking Request Claim Review in the upper right corner of the screen.
