What is Benefits Counseling?

Benefits Counseling is a free service for DVR job-seekers with disabilities that will help you to learn how going to work may affect the benefits you receive. As a result, you may have the ability to become more self-sufficient.

  • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Food Stamps
  • Section 8 Housing
  • Medicaid
  • Others

Meeting with a Benefits Specialist will help you understand your options and therefore, you will have the ability to make an informed choice about going to work.

For more information about meeting with a Benefits Specialist, please contact your Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor: 302-761-8275
