The State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) works in
partnership with the DVR. Among its several
responsibilities, the SRC reviews, evaluates, and
advises the DVR about its performance and
effectiveness in delivering services, including how
the provided services effect employment outcomes
of individuals with disabilities. The SRC also seeks
input from community advocates, business and
industry representatives, and disability groups, as
agencies develop and implement policies and
procedures that directly affect the individuals served
by the DVR.

We are a consumer-driven organization of members representing DVR Stakeholders. Members are appointed by the Governor and provide advice and support to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
There are three leadership positions in the Council, the Chair, Vice-Chair and Past Chair. Each position is for a two-year term. The DVR Director serves as an ex-officio member. Find out more about SRC membership.
State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) meetings are open to the public. Check out the calendar to find information regarding upcoming SRC meetings.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time to recognize the important contributions of people with disabilities in the workforce and promote greater awareness of the value of inclusive employment.
The 2026 NDEAM theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” highlights the skills, talents, and contributions that people with disabilities bring to our workplaces, communities, and economy. It is an opportunity to recognize the value of an inclusive workforce and the importance of creating meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities to pursue careers, contribute to their communities, and achieve their employment goals.
NDEAM also gives us an opportunity to recognize the employers, coworkers, service providers, and others who help create workplaces where people with disabilities can succeed. We would love to hear about your successes and experiences with DVR. Sharing your story could help inspire others!
The Delaware State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) is proud to celebrate those making a difference through the SRC Awards, recognizing employers, employees, and DVR team members whose dedication and commitment help advance employment opportunities for Delawareans with disabilities.
While nominations for the 2026 SRC Awards are now closed, keep those exceptional individuals and organizations in mind for next year’s awards! NDEAM is a great reminder to celebrate the people who recognize and champion the value and talent of individuals with disabilities every day.
