Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the Governor of each State must submit a Unified or Combined State Plan to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor that outlines a four-year strategy for the State’s workforce development system. Read the Delaware PYS 2024-2027.

We envision all people having the same access to opportunities and leading self-sufficient, productive, and fulfilling lives. We demonstrate a commitment to the independence and equality of people who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing by providing information, education, services, training, and advocacy.
Supported employment assists individuals with the most significant disabilities to obtain and maintain employment in our communities. Supported employment uses an Individual Placement Model, meaning services are provided at the job site with the assistance of an employment specialist or job coach on a one-to-one basis.
Pre-ETS offer students with disabilities an early start at career exploration and preparation for adult life. DVR works with students and their families, schools, and community partners to support students with gaining knowledge and experiences necessary so they may make informed decisions about their future.
Disability Determination Services (DDS) is a state-administered federal program that serves Delawareans who are unable to work because of a disability. The DDS develops, adjudicates, and processes disability claims of residents for Social Security disability benefits.
Benefits Counseling is a service for DVR job seekers with disabilities that will help you to learn how going to work may affect the benefits you receive. As a result, you may have the ability to become more self-sufficient.
DVR assists individuals with disabilities to go to work. In turn, the expectation is that you, as the job seeker, will gain employment by the end of this process. Our services are individualized to fit each participant’s needs during their job search.
